Wellcome Trust Accepting Applications for MB/PhD Fellowships

As "it can be difficult for clinicians … to manage the competing demands of research and clinical training," the Wellcome Trust is soliciting applications for its Postdoctoral Training Fellowships for MB/PhD Graduates program, which aims to fund new graduates who have completed a medical degree and a research doctorate and who seek "to maintain their research momentum by undertaking a period of postdoctoral training in the best laboratories in the UK and overseas." These fellowships "can be tailored to meet individuals' specific research or clinical training needs," and their associated awards — which cover salary, research expenses, support to attend scientific meetings as well as travel and overseas subsistence — last up to four years. Where appropriate, the Wellcome Trust is also offering these fellowships to qualified applicants on a part-time employment basis. Additional eligibility and application information is available, here.
