Waters Revenues, Income Up in Q1

NEW YORK, April 28 (GenomeWeb News) - Waters reported increased revenues and earnings for the first quarter today.

 

Revenues were $255 million, up from $221 million during the first quarter last year.

 

Research and development costs for the quarter increased to $16.1 million, up from $13.6 million during the first quarter last year.

 

Net income for the quarter was $40.8 million, or $.33 per share, up from $34 million, or $.26 per share, during the year-ago period.

 

As of March 31, Waters had $408.6 million in cash and cash equivalents.
