Waters' Q3 Results Push Stock Higher

Shares of Waters rose 8.8 percent for the five-day trading period ended Tuesday to lead all stocks in the BCW Index. Its shares rose nearly 9 percent on Tuesday alone after the firm reported 17 percent revenue growth for its third quarter.
 
Caliper Life Sciences and Agilent Technologies led decliners for the tracking period, falling 2.8 percent and 2.5 percent, respectively.
 
Overall, the Index rose 1.2 percent for the week. In comparison, the Dow Jones Industrial Average dropped 1.7 percent, while the Nasdaq climbed 1.3 percent, and the Nasdaq Biotech Index lost .3 percent.
