WaferGen Signs up Distributors in Europe, Taiwan

NEW YORK (GenomeWeb News) – WaferGen Biosystems has signed up three new distributors to sell its SmartSlide Micro-Incubation products in Switzerland, northern Europe, and Taiwan, the company said today.
 
The company has inked agreements with Bucher Biotec AG in Switzerland, Unimed Healthcare in Taiwan, and AH diagnostics in Denmark, Sweden, Norway, and Finland.
 
These companies will sell the entire SmartSlide family, which is used by cell biology and stem cell researchers to support time-lapse imaging studies to characterize, differentiate, and proliferate cells, and to grow stem, primary, and other cells.
 
WaferGen CEO Alnoor Shivji said the company already has distributors for the SmartSlide in Germany, France, the United Kingdom, Australia, Singapore, and the Benelux region.
