WaferGen Signs Australia, Singapore, and Benelux Distribution Deals

NEW YORK (GenomeWeb News) – WaferGen Biosystems has signed a series of exclusive distribution agreements for the company’s SmartSlide Micro-Incubation System, it announced today.
 
INBIO, ScienceWerke, and Westburg BV will distribute the SmartSlide System in Australia, Singapore, and the Benelux countries (Belgium, the Netherlands, and Luxemburg), respectively. The system integrates fluidics exchange micro-incubation with inverted microscopes, facilitating time-lapse imaging experiments using growing and differentiating cells.
 
“WaferGen’s signing of these key distributor agreements represents an important step in the company’s strategic efforts to expand customer adoptions of the SmartSlide Micro-Incubation System into new large target markets,” WaferGen Chairman and CEO Alnoor Shivji said in a statement.
 
Terms of the deals were not announced.
