US Navy to Test Tm Bio's Respiratory Virus in Asia

NEW YORK (GenomeWeb News) — Tm Bioscience yesterday said the US Navy plans to test its ID-Tag respiratory viral panel for its effectiveness as a warning against the threat of a viral pandemic.  
 
The Navy will use this panel in a surveillance program in South East Asia, to detect and identify influenzas, including avian flu. Tm Bio said the test is designed to provide results within six hours.
 
Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
