UPDATE: Pyrosequencing Opens Sales Office in California

NEW YORK, Feb. 26 - Pyrosequencing on Tuesday said it has opened a facility in California.

 

The new office, in San Carlos, will house the company's sales, customer support, and marketing teams for the western US. Pyrosequencing appointed Sean Doctor to lead the sales staff, which number between five and 10 individuals, according to a company spokeswoman.

 

The office will sell Pyrosequencing's PSQ 96 sequencer and its PTP high-throughput technology.

 

The spokeswoman added that Pyrosequencing, which is headquartered in Uppsala, Sweden, intends to increase by 50 percent its worldwide sales, support, and marketing staff.
