University of Calgary Chooses TimeLogic Bioinformatics for Disease Analysis

SAN FRANCISCO, Jan. 28 - TimeLogic said today that the faculty of medicine at the Universityof Calgaryselected its bioinformatics system for mining genomic data.


The university's Sun Center of Excellence for Visual Genomics will use TimeLogic's DeCypher sequence analysis system to hunt for the genetic components of diseases, including diabetes, Alzheimer's, and cancer, according to the company.


Financial details of the agreement were not disclosed.


The Sun Center of Excellence for Visual Genomics is part of the Canadian Bioinformatics Resource in Alberta, a network linking universities and government research labs throughout Canada.
