United Bioinformatica to Distribute InforMax Software in Canada

NEW YORK, June 20 - Calgary-based software distributor United Bioinformatica will mete out InforMax's technology to the Canadian biotech market, InforMax said today.

The deal, which gives Canadian researchers access to InforMax's Vector NTI and Xpression NTI technology suites, will enable the firm to "capitalize" on the "increasingly important" Canadian bioinformatics market, said Andrew Whiteley, the company's new chairman and CEO.

The collaboration is up for renewal each year, according to an InforMax spokeswoman.
