UK Child Agency Taps Orchid for Paternity Testing Services

NEW YORK, July 12 (GenomeWeb News) - Britain's UK Child Support Agency has hired Orchid Cellmark to provide it with paternity DNA testing services, the company said today.


The three-year exclusive award, which includes a two-year extension option, has the potential to generate more than $900,000 per year in revenue, according to Orchid. 


Orchid won the award, formerly held by another private UK-based lab, following a competitive bidding process, Orchid said.
