UC Davis Lab to Use Genedata's Expressionist Software for MS-Based Biomarker Discovery

NEW YORK (GenomeWeb News) - Researchers at the Fiehn Laboratory at the University of California, Davis, will use Genedata's Expressionist software for biomarker discovery projects, Genedata said today.

Genedata said the Fiehn Lab scientists will use Expressionist’s Refiner MS and Analyst modules to classify patient samples and to identify biomarkers in mass spectrometry-based proteomics and metabolomics studies.

Refiner MS is used in high-throughput processing and automated quality analysis of mass spec-based proteomics and metabolomics data.

Analyst is a statistical analysis platform that allows processed data to be compared with other information, including that from microarrays, bead-based assays, qPCR, 2D-PAGE, 2D-DIGE and NMR data, as well as additional types of MS data.

Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
