Tripos and Elsevier to Integrate Informatics Platforms

NEW YORK, Aug. 10 (GenomeWeb News) - Tripos and Elsevier MDL today said they plan to integrate their informatics platforms.

The two companies will now work to integrate the work-flow capabilities between Elsevier's MDL Isentris technology and Trips' Benchware suite of laboratory informatics software.

Under the terms of the agreement Tripos will now be a strategic member of the MDL Isentris Alliance, and Elsevier MDL will join the Tripos Alliance Program as a global strategic partner, the firms said.

Elsevier MDL CEO Lars Barfod said the alliance would facilitate "the integration of data and workflow between our products -- which is something that customers have been asking for."
