Transgenomic to Distribute SpectruMedix Electrophoresis System in Europe

NEW YORK, Jan. 20 (GenomeWeb News) - Transgenomic has agreed to distribute SpectruMedix's Reveal multicapillary gel electrophoresis systems in Europe, the companies said today.

Under the terms of the agreement, Transgenomic's European marketing organization will market, sell, and service the SpectruMedix system.

Transgenomic CEO Collin D'Silva said the Reveal platform is "a complement to our own WAVE system," and said the distribution deal is in line with the company's objective "to provide an integrated array of solutions, both instruments and consumables, that are relevant to our customers' workflow."

Last week, Transgenomic announced an agreement to distribute Nanogen's NanoChip molecular biology workstation in selected Western European countries.
