Third Wave's Shares Drop 10 Percent

Shares in Third Wave Technologies declined 10 percent for the five-day trading period ended Tuesday. The firm filed a countersuit against Digene last week in a patent dispute over HPV molecular diagnostics (see related article).
 
Bruker BioSciences led the five firms in the BCW Index that gained ground for the week, rising 7.2 percent.
 
Overall, the Index dropped 1.37 percent. In comparison, the Dow Jones Industrial Average declined .1 percent, the Nasdaq fell .9 percent, and the Nasdaq Biotech Index dropped 3.3 percent.
