Third Wave Shares Drop Nearly 10 Percent

Shares of Third Wave Technologies fell nearly 10 percent for the five-day trading week ended Tuesday. The only news to come from the firm was last week’s announcement that its Japanese subsidiary had raised roughly $5.3 million in a Series A financing. The stock led all decliners in the BCW Index for the week.
 
Bruker BioSciences' stock rose 5 percent, leading the six stocks that gained value during the tracking period.
 
Stratagene was removed from the Index after Agilent Technologies completed the acquisition of the firm last week.
 
Overall, the Index lost .9 percent, while the Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 2.2 percent, the Nasdaq declined 2.4 percent, and the Nasdaq Biotech Index lost 3.3 percent.
