Thermo Fisher to Integrate Genedata's Software with Mass Specs for Metabolomics

NEW YORK (GenomeWeb News) - Thermo Fisher Scientific said today that is has integrated its mass spectrometry instruments with Genedata's Expressionist software.

Thermo Fisher said that the integration with Genedata’s Expressionist software will be particularly useful to metabolomics researchers "who need to classify samples and identify metabolic profiles related to important biological phenotypes."

Genedata’s Expressionist software is used for high-throughput processing of metabolomics and proteomics data, and allows users to process hundreds of gigabytes of data simultaneously, the company said.

Thermo Fisher said that the integrated hardware and software platform should help customers understand the actions of molecules “in a single, comprehensive system.”
