Synamatix Joins Illumina Connect Bioinformatics Program

NEW YORK (GenomeWeb News) – Synamatix said today that it has agreed to work with Illumina to develop and use its bioinformatics solutions for Illumina’s Genome Analyzer customers.
 
Synamatix said that it has joined the Illumina Connect program and will offer Genome Analyzer users data analysis applications using the SynaWorks platform.
 
Synamatix General Manager Arif Anwar noted that the company expects to work with Illumina on “a range of exciting genome and transcriptome sequencing projects in Asia, Europe, and North America.”
 

The Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia-based company also said that its software can be used for data analysis, identifying mutations, and prioritizing genetic analysis results, as well as moving, storing, and archiving data.
