NEW YORK, June 30 (GenomeWeb News) - ETH Zurich and the universities of Basel and Zurich have teamed up for a Swiss network for systems biology, funded with CHF 10 million ($8 million) from the Swiss Universities Conference, ETH said last week.
The network, called SystemsX, will coordinate Swiss research and teaching activities in the area of systems biology. A Center of Biosystems Science and Engineering will be built in Basel, and a Cluster of Biosystems Science in Zurich. Other Swiss universities may also join the project.
The current funding will last until 2007, according to ETH.
