Strand Genomics to Add ADME-Predict Models to Bio-Rad ADME/Tox assessment Platform

NEW YORK, Aug. 13 (GenomeWeb News) - Strand Genomics and Bio-Rad are collaborating to integrate Strand's predictive human pharmacokinetic models into Bio-Rad's in silico ADME/Tox assessment platform, KnowItAll, the companies said earlier this week.

Strand, of Bangalore, India, has developed ADME-Predict models to make predictions of pharmacokinetic parameters including bioavailability, volume of distribution, plasma half-life, and protein binding.

Bio-Rad said it added Strand's predictors in order to maintain "the most comprehensive ADME/Tox prediction portfolio" for drug discovery.

The parties did not disclose the financial terms of the agreement.
