SRI International Forms Center of Excellence in Computational Biology

NEW YORK, Nov. 30 (GenomeWeb News) - SRI International established a Center of Excellence in Computation Biology to conduct collaborative research to accelerate drug discovery and development, the research organization said today.

 

The Center will focus on symbolic systems biology, synthetic biology, and bioinformatics to combat diseases such as cancer and problems associated with aging and sleep disorders.

 

Patrick Lincoln, SRI's Computer Science Laboratory's director, will also be the director of the Center of Excellence.
