Spectral Genomics Acquires License to Affymetrix Patents for DNA Arrays

NEW YORK, Oct. 20 (GenomeWeb News) - Spectral Genomics said today that it has acquired a license to certain Affymetrix patents that will be used in the manufacture and sale of spotted DNA arrays to the research market.


Spectral Genomics said the license supports its Spectral Chip and Constitutional Chip BAC (bacterial artificial chromosome) arrrays, as well as its Genomic Profiling service business.


Terms of the licensing deal were not disclosed.
