Sidec Closes $10.2M Private-Equity Round

NEW YORK (GenomeWeb News) — Sidec Technologies today said it has netted SEK 68.5 million ($10.2 million) in a round of venture-capital funding from new and existing investors.
 
The company said it plans to use the money to build its sales and marketing programs and fund research.  
 
The funding round was led by Earlybird Venture Capital, Swedish Investor Growth Capital, and Industrifonden, the company said.
 
Stockholm-based Sidec sells a 3D cellular-imaging product to pharmaceutical clients.
