NEW YORK, Oct. 27 (GenomeWeb News) - Sequenom introduced a DNA methylation and quantitative gene expression analysis service business yesterday.
Shares in the company were trading up 9 percent, or $.06, at $.72 in mid-afternoon trading.
Through the service, researchers can access Sequenom's MassArray solution for quantitative analysis and profiling of DNA methylation and gene expression. The company applies its iPLEX multiplexing assay to quantitative methylation profiling and quantitative gene expression analysis.
Sequenom said it intends to make DNA methylation and QGE analysis available as application products for the MassARRAY platform in the first quarter of 2006.
