Serono Purchases Caliper Microfluidic System

NEW YORK, July 21 - Biotech firm Serono has purchased a microfluidic-based drug discovery system from Caliper Technologies, Caliper said today.


Serono will use the Caliper 250 drug discovery system, which is based on Caliper's microfluidic LabChip technology, to develop kinase assays.


Caliper completed its acquisition of lab automation firm Zymark last week.
