NEW YORK, Dec. 2 (GenomeWeb News) - Separation Scientific will provide sales and support for PerkinElmer customers in 10 South African countries as part of an agreement signed by the companies, PerkinElmer said today.

PerkinElmer's agreement with the South Africa-based Separation Scientific, a laboratory-service company, aims to "consolidate" sales and service structure in the region and offer "an improved customer experience," the company said.

The new operation will be based in South Africa, with offices across the region serving South Africa, Angola, Botswana, Namibia, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Malawi, Mozambique, Swaziland, Lesotho, and the Indian Oceanislands, PerkinElmer added.

The agreement consolidates the previous mix of direct and dealer sales into a single source for all PerkinElmer Life & Analytical Sciences products, the company said.
