Scripps Adopts MDL Informatics Applications to Support NIH Research

NEW YORK, Dec. 16 (GenomeWeb News) - The Scripps Research Institute selected Elsevier MDL's package of informatics applications to support high-throughput molecular screening, the company said today.

Researchers at the institute's Palm Beach County, Fla., campus will use a suite of applications, including MDL's Assay Explorer biological data-management system, MDL ChemBio registration system, and MDL Plate Manager sample and plate management system, to evaluate small molecules against various biological targets, Elsevier MDL said.

Scripps is one of the nine institutions chosen to participate in the Molecular Libraries Screening Centers Network run by the National Institutes of Health as part of its Roadmap initiative.
