Schering-Plough Research Institute Signs on for Affy Package

NEW YORK, Oct. 22-The Schering-Plough Research Institute has signed an "EasyAccess Silver" deal for broad access to Affymetrix's gene chips, instrumentation and software, Affymetrix said today.


Affymetrix did not reveal the financial details of the agreement, but outside analysts have priced these licensing deals between $1 million to $3 million.


SPRI, based in Kenilworth, NJ, is the research unit of Schering-Plough.
