Sangamo BioSciences Receives Patent Around Zinc Finger Binding Sites

SAN FRANCISCO, Sept. 17 - Sangamo BioSciences received a patent for technology identifying the preferred binding sites within genes for zinc finger DNA-binding proteins, the company said today.

 

The United Statespatent also covers methods for designing zinc finger DNA-binding protein transcription factors that bind to these sites, according to the Richmond, Calif., based company.
