Bar Harbor BioTechnology has hired Robert Phelps as president. Phelps comes to the company from Applied Biosystems. In the new job he will take over operations, and will manage marketing and sales.
 

 
Eragen has appointed Miguel Blanc as vice president of corporate development. Blanc previously was manager of global business development for GE Healthcare, executive account manager at Amersham Biosciences, and manager of business development at Motorola.
