Riken Publishes Data on Mechanism of Transcription Regulation by ppGpp

NEW YORK, May 10 (GenomeWeb News) - Riken has reported that it has recently succeeded in elucidating a part of the mechanism of transcription regulation by guanosine-tetraphosphate, Japan Corporate News Network reported last week.


According to JCNN, the work at Riken - done in collaboration with OhioStateUniversity - shows that ppGpp controls the configurations and activities of RNA polymerase. Details about the research were published in the April 30 issue of Cell.
