Rigaku, TTP LabTech Partner on Protein Crystallization Tech

NEW YORK (GenomeWeb News) – Rigaku Americas said today that TTP LabTech will offer its mosquito pipetting system as part of Rigaku's CrystalMation platform for automated protein crystallization research.

The mosquito technology will be implemented on a custom basis for customers doing high-throughput research on membrane proteins as well as RNA and DNA research, said Rigaku. According to the Carlsbad, Calif.-based firm, the mosquito has disposable, positive displacement pipettes, which ensure zero cross contamination and the instrument can accurately aspirate and dispense a wide range of liquid types and viscosities.

Financial and other terms of the alliance were not disclosed.
