Shippy previously served as a senior scientist at Motorola Life Sciences, Amersham Biosciences, and GE Healthcare in the CodeLink bioarray unit.
 

 
Aushon BioSystems has named Mike Tognotti as vice president of worldwide sales and marketing. Tognotti previously served in a similar role at CombiMatrix. Prior to joining CombiMatrix, Tognotti was Western regional sales manager for Illumina. He has also held senior sales and marketing positions at Fisher Scientific and Operon Technologies.
 

 
NanoString Technologies has appointed Jonathan Roy as vice president of sales.
 
Roy comes to NanoString from Alfa Wassermann Proteomic Technologies, where he was vice president of commercial operations. Previously, he was regional business manager for the Southeastern US for Roche Applied Science, North American sales manager for Dynal Biotech’s molecular division, and held a variety of sales management positions at Applied Biosystems.
