QuantuMDx's NorthGene Accredited for UK Justice Ministry Testing

NEW YORK (GenomeWeb News) – QuantuMDx said today that its subsidiary NorthGene has received accreditation from the UK's Ministry of Justice to perform legal DNA tests for parentage.

NorthGene, which is located at The International Centre for Life hub in Newcastle UK, conducts legal relationship tests for coroners, family law solicitors, local councils, and the general public.

The new accreditation will enable NorthGene to perform tests for paternity, maternity, and siblingship for legal reasons such as changes in birth certificates, inheritance cases, and identifying services for coroners, as well as handling tests for the Ministry of Justice's courts and parentage tests for immigration applications.
