Pyrosequencing Announces Two Orders for Microwave Synthesis Technology

NEW YORK, Oct. 13 (GenomeWeb News) - Pyrosequencing, of Uppsala, Sweden, said today that it has received orders for microwave synthesis scale-up technology from two major pharmaceutical companies.

The total value of the two orders is roughly $651,903, according to the company.

"Pharma companies are now showing explicit interest in scale-up microwave technology, because the possibility to directly transfer lab-scale results to a scale suitable for the next stage of drug development is unique and highly valuable to them," Jon-Sverre Schanche, vice president of R&D for Pyrosequencing, said in a statement.
