Promega, SABiosciences Partner on Pathway Assay Technologies

NEW YORK (GenomeWeb News) – Promega today said that it and SABiosciences will combine their research tools for interrogating specific cellular pathways via transcription factor reporters.

Under the deal, Promega's recombinant firefly luciferase luc2 gene and a humanized Renilla luciferase (hRluc) gene will serve as one key reporter system for SABiosciences' Cignal pathway reporter assays.

Dave Martz, VP of sales and marketing for SABiosciences, said in a statement that Promega's luciferase reporters "provide the necessary levels of sensitivity for studying the effects of drugs or genetic perturbations on many interesting and biologically relevant cell types."

Terms of the alliance were not disclosed.
