Pfizer Purchases Avaki Grid Software

NEW YORK, July 8 -  Pfizer has purchased Avaki's Comprehensive Grid software, Avaki said today.

The software is designed to provide researchers at all of Pfizer's research sites with access to research data and compute power. The software allows researchers with secured access the ability to view the most current version of the data, while the authoritative copy remains under control of local administrators.

Avaki, of Burlington, Mass., markets its grid solutions to corporate, R&D and IT providers.
