PerkinElmer Gets ISO Certification for Janus Platform

NEW YORK (GenomeWeb News) – PerkinElmer today said that it has received ISO 13485 certification for the manufacture of its Janus Automated Workstation platform.
 
The certification ensures the platform’s compliance with medical device manufacturing requirements set forth by the International Organization for Standardization, the firm said.
 
The Janus platform is a modular and scalable system that is used for developing molecular diagnostic assays. PerkinElmer manufactures the workstation at its facilities in Downers Grove, Ill.
