PerkinElmer Expands Services Offering with LabMetrix Acquisition

NEW YORK (GenomeWeb News) – PerkinElmer announced today that it has acquired LabMetrix Technologies, an independent provider of metrology-based multi-vendor analytical instrument qualification services.
 
LabMetrix’s operations will be added to PerkinElmer’s OneSource laboratory services business. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
 
LabMetrix brought in revenues of around $5 million in 2007, according to PerkinElmer.
 
PerkinElmer’s OneSource business provides traditional lab maintenance and service as well as a broad asset-management program.
