Paracel Sells GeneMatcher2 to Three European Research Centers

NEW YORK, June 29 (GenomeWeb News) - Paracel said today that it has signed three new customers in Europe for its GeneMatcher2 sequence analysis system -- the Nestlé Research Center in Switzerland, the University of Wuerzburg in Germany, and the Institute of Molecular Pathology in Austria.

Paracel, a subsidiary of the Celera Genomics Group of Applera, said that the NestléResearchCenter added the GeneMatcher2 to an infrastructure that already included Paracel's BlastMachine2 system for accelerated Blast searching.

The University of Wuerzburg said it will use GeneMatcher2 to support its research in functional genome analysis and comparative genomics, while the Institute of Molecular Pathology will integrate the system into its in-house genome annotation platform.
