Omni Genetics, Roche to Co-identify SNPs in Mice

NEW YORK, April 1 (GenomeWeb News) - Omni Genetics announced today that it will collaborate with Roche to identify SNPs within the genome of closely related mouse strains using its proprietary rapid-turnaround, whole-genome SNP-scanning technology.


Knowledge of the pattern of genetic variation in mice can eventually be applied to better understand the genetic basis for human disease susceptibility and drug response, the company said.


Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
