Nonlinear Dynamics, Genedata to Integrate Informatics Tools

NEW YORK, Oct. 20 (GenomeWeb News) - Nonlinear Dynamics and Genedata plan to create "a more integrated workflow" between their Progenesis and Expressionist products, the companies said today.

The alliance, which Genedata said will help it buttress its proteomics research play, aims to create a product with "additional result validation preceding the final MS identification and sample classification stages of the gel-based workflow."

By employing supplementary statistical processing to Progenesis 2D gel image-analysis data, researchers are able to further corroborate findings and proceed to spot picking with greater confidence, the companies said. "By automating the exchange of data between Progenesis and Expressionist, we are providing a high-throughput workflow for this otherwise time-consuming and error-prone task."
