NimbleGen Raises $8.2M in Venture Capital

NEW YORK, Dec. 2 (GenomeWeb News) - NimbleGen Systems has raised $8.2 million during its latest round of private-equity financing, the company said today.

 

The company will use the new funding to finance growth and expansion, NimbleGen said. The company focuses on high-definition genomics by combining its microarray platform with its gene expression products, ChIP-chip, CGH, and comparative genome sequencing.

 

Cargill Ventures and Skyline Ventures led the private venture financing round and all of the company's existing venture capital and institutional investors participated.

 

NimbleGen has raised $50 million since its inception in 1999.
