NextGen to Resell LabVantage LIMS with Proteomics Platform

NEW YORK, July 28 - NextGen Sciences will resell laboratory information management software developed by LabVantage Solutions as part of its automated protein expression platform, LabVantage said today.

The distribution agreement authorizes NextGen to use LabVantage's Sapphire Life Science LIMS within its ExpressionFactory robotics system. Sapphire LIMS will be integrated with ExpressionFactory's existing LIMS software to add traceable sample management capabilities to its current data handling, sample management, genealogy tracking, and workflow automation features.

The combined solution will allow researchers to plan entire processes for vector construction, gene cloning, and protein expression in silico before it is sent to the robotics platform, LabVantage said.
