Nasdaq Grants Accelrys Filing Extension for Quarterly Report

NEW YORK, Apr 17 (GenomeWeb News) - The Nasdaq exchange has granted Accelrys an extension to file its quarterly report for the period ended Dec. 31, 2005, the company said today.

The filing has been delayed because Accelrys is restating its quarterly financial statements from Jan. 1, 2000, to Sept. 30, 2005.

In Febraray, Nasdaq issued Accelrys a noncompliance notice because it had not yet filed its financial statements for its third fiscal quarter.

Today, Nasdaq extended the filing date to May 31. Accelrys stated that it expects to complete its quarterly report as well as its restated historical financial statements by that time.
