MWG Biotech Chairman to Retire

NEW YORK, Aug. 30 (GenomeWeb News) - MWG Biotech said today that the company's management board chairman, Thomas Becker, will resign at the end of the month.

According to the company, Becker cited personal reasons for his decision to resign. While a successor is being sought, board members Wolfgang Pieken and Volker Muschalek will manage the company.

MWG said that its supervisory board "regrets Thomas Becker's decision," but that the company's goals for 2004 - a moderate increase in sales and a positive EBITDA, and a break-even cash flow - are "still realistic."
