Metabolon Acquires Cogenics Icoria’s Issued and Pending Metabolomics IP

NEW YORK (GenomeWeb News) ― Metabolon said yesterday it has acquired metabolomics-related intellectual property from Cogenics Icoria, a Clinical Data subsidiary, for an undisclosed sum.
 
Research Triangle Park, NC-based Metabolon said it now possesses all of the metabolomics-related IP that Cogenics Icoria previously owned.
 
Clinical Data acquired Cogenics Icoria in 2005.
 
Metabolon said the new IP includes issued and pending patents related to data analysis, carcinogenicity, and biomarkers for toxicity.
 
Financial terms of the agreement were not released.
