Deadlines

September 2
Application deadline for the NIH grant, Recovery Act Limited Competition: Biomedical Research, Development, and Growth to Spur the Acceleration of New Technologies (BRDG-SPAN) Pilot Program. This funding will go toward commercializing promising biomedical research.

September 8
Application deadline for Innovations in Biomedical Computational Science and Technology. This grant will fund biomedical computing, including database design, graphical interfaces, querying approaches, data retrieval, data visualization and manipulation, data integration through the development of integrated analytical tools, and tools for electronic collaboration, as well as computational and mathematical research including the development of structural, functional, integrative, and analytical models and simulations.

September 8
Application deadline for the Networks and Pathways Collaborative Research Projects grant. This NIH money will support research using the technology developed in one or more of the National Technology Centers for Networks and Pathways, a program of the NIH Roadmap for Medical Research.

September 8 Application deadline for the NIH grant, Diet, Epigenetic Events, and Cancer Prevention. The funds should be used for clinical and preclinical research to determine how diet and dietary factors, including dietary supplements, impact DNA methylation, histone post-translational modification, and other epigenetic processes surrounding cancer prevention and development.

September 8
Application deadline for the Development of Disease Biomarkers grant. This NIH funding will support the validation of candidate biomarkers for well-defined human diseases of liver, kidney, urological tract, digestive and hematologic systems, and endocrine and metabolic disorders, diabetes and its complications, and obesity.
