Medicorp Buys BioCan Scientific Assets from Genomics One for $725K

NEW YORK, June 2 (GenomeWeb News) - Genomics One has sold BioCan Scientific's assets to Medicorp for CA$900,000 ($724,000), the companies said today in a statement.

 

Due to the sale, Canadian diagnostics maker Medicorp has now acquired "substantially all" of Genomics One's BioCan Scientific subsidiaries, the companies said. The sale closed on May 31.

 

The transaction has been approved by Genomics One shareholders, the companies added.

 

Genomics One sold those assets in order to focus on the biodefense market, the company said.
