Marligen Acquires Early-Stage Technology Developer Clarius

NEW YORK, Aug. 12-The DNA analysis supply company Marligen Biosciences said today that it had acquired Clarius Technologies, a company specializing in commercializing intellectual property generated in academic and government research.


Under the agreement, Marligen acquires all assets and rights to Clarius' technology licenses. Clarius' staff and operations, based in Rockville, Md., will be moved to Marligen's facilities.


Marligen, based in Ijamsville, Md., sells a range of DNA purification products, PCR supplies and SNP-related products and services.
