Luminex and Genetic Solutions To Make Kits For Cattle

NEW YORK, June 12-Luminex and the Australian firm Genetic Solutions will collaborate to commercialize reagent kits designed for the cattle industry, the two companies said today.


By the terms of the agreement, Genetic Solutions has worldwide nonexclusive rights to develop and distribute kits based on Luminex xMAP assay technology. Luminex will receive royalties in addition to revenue from the sale of instruments.


The tests will be developed to test animal health and identify traits of interest in livestock.


Genetic Solutions, based in Brisbane, currently markets genetic products for the livestock and aquaculture industries.
